Join local experts, parents, and peers to gain practical strategies and access resources that support your family's mental health and prevent substance use. Sessions will focus on coping skills, youth perspectives, building connections, and navigating support and crisis resources.

Who: Parents & middle/high school students (This event is not intended for K-5 students)
When: November 5, 2025, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Where: Prairie Ridge High School, 6000 Dvorak Dr, Crystal Lake, IL 60012
Parking & Entrance: Park in the lot near the soccer fields, located off Dvorak Drive before the main entrance, and enter through Door 13.

Attend any or all of the sessions listed below:

  • 6:00 - 6:20 PM - Introduction: Local trends & data

  • 6:25 - 6:55 PM - Session 1: Learn coping skills, how relationships affect mental health, and what hidden risks parents should know about

  • 7:05 - 7:35 PM - Session 2: Youth perspectives - what youth wish adults understood, personal story of recovery, connection & belonging is a key prevention

  • 7:45 - 8:30 PM - Session 3: Parent focus - long-term consequences, crisis/intervention resources
